IBM worker off for 15 years wanted a raise.
What you think is he due a pay raise?
"A terminally ill IBM worker on sick leave for the past 15 years has insisted he is not greedy for trying to sue the tech giant because they have not given him a pay rise.
Ian Clifford, a 50-year-old senior IT technician, was signed off work in 2008 for mental-health related reasons and was diagnosed with stage four leukaemia in 2012.
Under an IBM health plan, while off work he receives more than £54,000 a year, guaranteed until the age of 65.
Last year, Mr Clifford brought the tech giant to court for disability discrimination, arguing his salary had not been reviewed since 2013.
A judge threw out his claim at an employment tribunal in March, saying he had received a “very substantial benefit” and “favourable treatment”.

Let me see if I got it, he's been off work for 15 years due to his medical condition and getting paid £54,000 a year from IBM, he is guaranteed that amount until he reaches the age of 65 and wants a raise?
First of all I am sorry he has stage 4 leukaemia now comes my personal opinion.
1. He's lucky to have survived 15 years with leukaemia I know 2 people who got diagnosed with it and one lived 4 months the other 6.
2. I think that is greedy.
3. IBM is some good company to work for in that case if they are still paying an employee 15 damn yeas who got sick not because of their fault. It is not as if he had a building collapse on him at work that caused him to be not well enough to work.

It will mean a lot to him and nothing for IBM let him have his raise.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Did he really believe the judge would say he is due a raise?

Read the contract they signed when he was hired that is all there is to it. Whatever it says then that is all that matters.Just so you know £54,000 a year is not a lot of money to live on in London.
