Tucker Carlson has left Foxnews
Wow he has huge viewing numbers, this is not a good move for Foxnews by any means, I wonder if it has anything to do with the $725 million foxnews and Meta class action lawsuit setlement

I guess it must be something to do with that settlement as that was less than a week ago. Hell of a coincidence if it isnt that
From what Ive seen (bearing in mind we only get CNN over here) it doesn't sound like an amicable split either. Maybe he didn't agree with the terms of the settlement

Yes because its the only live US news channel we get here in the UK. I subscribe to Fox on youtube but thats not live and limited to just the headlinesCTE wrote: ↑April 25th, 2023, 4:18 amYou watch CNNtacnet wrote: ↑April 24th, 2023, 7:40 pmI guess it must be something to do with that settlement as that was less than a week ago. If you ask me they are both as bad as each other.
Like everything in American politics, the Left seems to have gone far too left and the Right has gone far too right and there's nobody in the middle
Just my opinion

I agree and the more I think about it Tucker Carlson was not sticking to the right or left agenda, he is one of the few news people that says what he thinks, do I agree with everything he says absolutely not but he was at least opening up topics for debate, if you parrot the official line of the news company you work for well that is not really an honest debate.
I was thinking about his departure and don't really believe it was all to do with the Dominion law suite settlement, there were others who said harsher words about that whole thing and still kept their jobs. Foxnews I think has decided to go more center and not stick to the right so much, probably to attract more advertisers. That might have played into the decision.

I think your right. With CNN dropping Don Lemon and Fox dropping Tucker Carlson, I think both channels might be trying to move more to the center prior to the election.TheButcher wrote: ↑April 25th, 2023, 9:29 amFoxnews I think has decided to go more center and not stick to the right so much, probably to attract more advertisers. At the moment they just seem to be throwing as much crap as possible at the other side which is simply driving the American people further and further apart. Nobody is changing sides
Its interesting because over here we have (what is supposed to be at least) an independant channel, the BBC. Because of the way its funded, there are NO adverts so there is no overall owner who has to make a profit or who has an agenda
Instead, by law everybody in the UK has to pay a TV license (even if you dont watch or can even receive the BBC). Not saying it always works but its a step towards keeping politics out of the mainstream media
It will be interesting to see if CNN or Fox can drop the political slagging match

There was a case a few years back where some woman in the Outer Hebrides islands (off the Scottish coast) refused to pay her TV license because she couldn't even receive the BBC where she was.
And she lost and had to pay !!!

Oh no, he doesn't deserve that soft misnomer, saying he left Fox News makes it sound as if he had any say it no matter...TheButcher wrote: ↑April 24th, 2023, 11:49 amWow he has huge viewing numbers, this is not a good move for Foxnews by any means, I wonder if it has anything to do with the $725 million foxnews and Meta class action lawsuit setlement

No, that repugnant piece of human trash was fired and removed from Fox and finally had his megaphone stripped away so he can stop spewing toxic s*** to the masses while getting paid for it.
His hopefully permanent departure from television is a huge victory for humanity at Large
