Nashville CHRISTIAN school bans suit wearing student from prom
I honestly sympathize with the student in question, and I have been a open supporter of LGBTQ years before it was even talked about in the media. I fully understand and respect the fact that there are people who do not identify as male or female just because they are born in that body. I get it and have for decades just don't force it on me.
Wait for it here comes the second disclaimer related to this article, I have been an atheist for decades. But I do respect everyone's personal choice to believe in anything they want as long as they do not try force it on me.
Why I said these two things is simple, the student in this case went to a religious school, I do happen to know a little bit about religions of various types, and they have traditional biblical values. The bible and lgbtq do not really mix too well, according to the quotes I took from that article the school has clear rules on dress code. If she was not comfortable with those rules she could have either changed schools, gone to the prom according to those dress code rules. Or not gone to the prom.
I think the school was only enforcing their dress code.

"“Im 18 years old and i’ve been attending Nashville Christian School for 13 years,” Hayes wrote. “My senior prom was today and i wasn’t allowed in the doors because i was wearing a suit.”"
Further down the article.
"In a statement to The Daily Beast, Nashville Christian School said dress requirements had been established “for daily school attendance and at our special events.”
“All students and families are aware of and sign an agreement to these guidelines when they enroll,” the statement read. “The school’s expectations regarding appropriate prom attire were communicated to this student and the student’s family in advance of the prom.
“While we certainly respect a student’s right to disagree, all of our students know from our school handbook that when they do not follow such expectations at school-sponsored events, they may be asked to leave.”
According to Nashville Christian School’s online handbook, “ladies (Grades 6-12)” are required to wear uniform shirts with the school’s crest and a plaid skirt or khaki twill pants during “dress uniform days.” Dress shoes are a necessity. On designated “standard school days,” school polos are allowed, uniform bottoms have to be of the approved color scheme, skirts cannot extend too far above the knee, and “tennis shoes or closed toe shoes” are required. Shirts must be tucked in, and body piercings and tattoos cannot be visible.
“While the dress code policy applies to clothing worn during the school day, parents are responsible for supervising the choice of appropriate clothing for school events that occur outside of the normal school day,” the handbook states.
Near the end of the online handbook dedicated to banquets for juniors and seniors, it reads that “all students should choose Banquet attire that is appropriate for modesty and consistent with the Biblical principles... Students who do not adhere to these expectations may be asked to leave the event.”
The handbook also notes that students are not allowed to attend banquets “with a student of the same gender/sex.”"

There is no shortage of schools, private or public, that one can choose from in any given area in the US. Clearly the student did not randomly develop sudden onset gender dysphoria, based on this gist of the story sounds like something the student had been aware that they are philosophically incompatible with the ideology of that school and hits faculty, in which case why would they have continued pursuing an education there if not to create or seek out conflict? Especially when somebody options exist that would Foster the same values and ideologies therefore being a more nurturing and arguably more effective messenger in this instance while avoiding (possibly premeditated and definitely foreseeable) unnecessary conflict such as this. Let them have their backwards conservative nonsense prom t tgeutprivate backward conservative nonsense redneck School,
