If your host disappeared overnight

Who would you turn to so you can get your sites up and online fast. Assuming you have the backups from the night before.And how long would it take to be up and on your way?

My publicity site is pretty basic, no giant loss there. But my fetish art site is looking dated and I don't get to do much upkeep with my current schedule. So wiping the slate clean on the fetish site wouldn't be a giant loss.

I'd probably call up Natalie at Mojo, or go with the kinky hosting service used by Tim Woodward over at Skin Two.

Daily backups make sure you have them some where not on your server

Yikes, if I didn't have backup s of my sites I would probably resort to using archivarix to restore it with the existing URL structure and take it as an opportunity to migrate to DO or Linode

Been there had it happen, why I pay a few bucks a month since 2018 and have my nightly backup file send to another hosting account at a different company.

Backup to an external server or else you will regret the day your hard drive fails or your host goes tits up. If you have the one hard drive and your back up is on that drive you are wasting your time, that fails you got dick.

This is something I worry about all the time but the problem we have is there is over 10Tb of content on on our servers

Our host does daily backups and we have another weekly backup on a NAS drive in the office but the last time we tried to do a full FTP download, it took nearly 5 weeks to complete. By which time it was out of date LOL
