"Load more" is a nice feature, cam sites have it, tubes have it, but I agree the automatic for ever loading page method sucks.

Depends on the site and page layout. Auto scroll or load more might not be great if you want them to see sidebars and/or footer. I would definitely recommend adding a return to top button if you're using it.

I agree personally I like having a footer on the site I visit, might be old thinking or how I was first used to online pages, but that is me.

If you have contact information on your site, which you should, then no one can see it with a scrolling page, think about this.

You want the sucker on your page being able to read the info at the end not piss him or her off having to keep scrolling with no end.

Infinite scrolling is fine if you have a fixed menu at the top of the screen with access to all the links you would normally have in your footer

If I notice the page has no ending I just click close. It is totally unacceptable to me when the footer of a page never loads up.

The trend has slowed down 2 years ago nearly every new site was infinite scroll .
