Los Angeles County may soon reimpose indoor mask mandates as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise in the area.
During a press conference Thursday, LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said the largest county in the United States had reached "medium" COVID-19 transmission levels and will require face coverings if it reaches the "high" category."

Hospitals are full now but not all beds are because of Covid cases, other respiratory viruses are in play, this story was quite eye opening.

During the lock downs and work from home there was less transmission of the flu but now with people going about their daily lives the flu is back this season, not too surprising.gspotman wrote: ↑December 8th, 2022, 6:00 pmHospitals are full now but not all beds are because of Covid cases, other respiratory viruses are in play, this story was quite eye opening.

BA.5 is still the dominant variant from what I have seen. Everyone in my immediate family and quite a few friends have now had one form or other of Covid, the only two who have been spared so far are me and the dragon.

"THE NEW OMICRON SUBVARIANT XBB.1.5: WHAT YOU MUST KNOW NOW
First, this subvariant is immuno-evasive. It's not as susceptible to natural immunity or vaccines — and it is very contagious, health professionals say.
In a phone interview with Fox News Digital, Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel explained that there are actually two subvariants at play: XBB and XBB.1.5."
