Do you see this end by Christmas so people can get back to living their normal lives.Think of the families with where one partner is Russian the other Ukrainian.
Unfortunately I dont think it will be over by christmas, but I do think this will end suddenly and abruptly

That's the thing about dictators, they rarely enjoy a long and peacefull retirement (think Sadam Hussein, Gadaffi etc). They are almost always dragged out of office or overthrown by their military

Putin has picked a fight that he can never win. As much as we all want peace, the west is NEVER going to back down to Putin's agression. It would mean the end of Nato, the end of Europe and democracy in general

So there really is only one question, how long can Putin hold on to power ?

Just as you thought things could not get more dangerous now I read Nordstream one and two have been sabotaged. This will create more drama in this conflict. So who do you think did it and why?

I dont think any western government seriously questions who is responsible for this. There is only one country with the means and motivation to do this and that country is Russia

Putin hopes that by closing those pipelines permanently he will drive up the price of gas and further destabalize Europe..... but he is too late. Both pipelines were already shutdown due to quote "maintenance issues" and Germany (the main recipient of Russian gas) has already filled its stockpiles to 85%. More than enough to see them through the winter

This is yet another act of desperation. If the war was going Putin's way then he wouldn't be blowing up his own infrastructure. Nor would he be having to conscript civilians to prop up his army. (There is a HUGE 27 mile tailback on Russia's border with Georgia as Russians try to flee the draft)

Another sign that he is running out of steam is that he is now trying to attack Odessa with Iranian made drones. You might think why is this a sign ????

Well Iran are hardly world leaders in drone technology but they are one of the few countries already sanctioned by the west and therefore are prepared to deal with Russia (although even Iran denied having supplied these drones). This clearly shows that no other countries are willing to supply Russia with military support. How many countries turned Putin down before he went to Iran ??

As each day passes, Russia is running out of soldiers, weapons and money. Whereas Ukraine is getting stronger by the day

This thing is going no where, both sides are too committed to let it end just like that. It might drag on for 10 years or more.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Things are getting real today with Putin recognizing the 4 oblasts as Russian territory.

TheSun is reporting Ukraine has applied for Nato membership, if they get in and article 5 is invoked, which it will for obvious reasons here comes WW3. I thought you could not apply if you were in a conflict, who knows we'll see how this ends up.

They wont get in, This is just a symbolic thing

One of the provisions of Nato is that your borders must not be in dispute so this is just a symbolic "fuck you" to Putin

We will not take in Ukraine while they are in a war with Russia, why would we walk into a direct war with Russia. We will keep on giving them money and weapon systems not our people on the ground. Zelensky just did that announcement to piss of Putin, nothing more to it.

I think you're on the ball. Having them in Ukraine would not be good for global warming :)

Personally I think Nato should put every available jet, tank, long range artillary and anything else they need into Ukraine...... and then dare Putin to attack us !

That's EXACTLY what he's been doing to us since the start of this war. He keeps threatening to escalate and we back down

We need to stop worrying about Putin's red lines, give Ukraine everything they need and let Putin decide if he has the balls to attack Nato. He knows it would be suicide and even if he doesnt, his general sure do

He's also been told publicly and privately that if he goes nuclear then the reponse would be (quote) "catastrophic". I doubt we would bomb Russia, much more likely that we would take out his black fleet

Six of one and half a dozen of the other, Russia will go ballistic and I mean with nuclear weapons if that happens. Either way we will all be dead because both sides will fire a few hundred nukes and that will be that.

I wish Putin and Biden would just sit down off the cameras and hash out a deal so this fighting would stop. Forget how summits go with all show for the cameras, just the two of them with interpreters.

As long as it does not become ww3 it will play out over time and things will come back to normal.

Sorry but i dont agree with that. You don't negotiate with a bully because he threatens to use nuclear weapons unless he gets what he wants

Remember we tried that approach with Hitler in Munich when we gave him Czechoslovakia so long as he promised that he wouldn't go after anything else .... and look what happened

If we don't stop Putin now then we will definitely have a world war on our hands next year

My concern is if he thinks he will lose face then he might shoot off the nukes

Looks like Putin is going to declare war
