ICQ,Skype and usually 25-30 browsers going when I'm working.

18 this minute, just counted them and that is about average for me when I'm online working away

I honestly do not know how you guys manage all that, I hit 5 open tabs I get frustrated.

It varies form one minute to the next, sometimes I just do a 1 shot, close all tabs and start again.

3 at most, it bothers me clicking backwards and forwards all the time when I have too many tabs open.

My old laptop around 2015 would go nuts with too many tabs being open, the fan would go hay wire, this one is okay with al the tabs I have open.
