The one thing that bugs me about all this is that, whatever you think of Boris Johnson - love him or hate him - WE THE BRITISH PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM !!
What gives ANYBODY the right to overturn that vote !
I wish Liz Truss all the best but she certainly doesnt have the charisma that Boris had

I agree with everything you said, and she is more hawkish than Bojo which means the next PM of the UK will be Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, let me explain why. The economy across Europe sucks, inflation is going up, energy costs are sky rocketing. Winter is round the corner and people are going to feel the pain of heating costs. Come next election people will look for a change, you can not blame it all on Boris Johnson sine Liz Truss will be in charge of the Tory's when that time comes.tacnet wrote: ↑September 6th, 2022, 9:29 amThe one thing that bugs me about all this is that, whatever you think of Boris Johnson - love him or hate him - WE THE BRITISH PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM !!

Yep i think your right. I really think they have shot themselves in the foot by getting rid of Boris. He was Putin's No1 enemy according to the KremlinTheButcher wrote: ↑September 6th, 2022, 10:18 amI agree with everything you said, and she is more hawkish than Bojo which means the next PM of the UK will be Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, let me explain why. I don’t see her changing the current economic situation unless she realizes the sanctions have backfired and reversed them, for the good of the country and British people. They obviously have not hurt Russia look at their current and profits selling gas and oil. But it is hard to do a 180 I understand. But if she can put country first and say I don’t care what anybody says we will buy cheap energy then she will be everyone’s angel.
People can not go on living at these crazy high prices much longer.
My honest opinion, this has nothing to do with who is right and who is wrong in this Ukraine crisis, it is about doing what your people want and need, affordable energy and food.

We CANT give in to Putin. You simply cant have a dictator holding the world's economy to ransom like that. Forget the UK or even Europe, this is global. And if we did give in to him, you can almost guarantee that China will move against Taiwan and there's 70% of the worlds computer chips gone
One way or another, we all have to stop buying Russian energy.
Right now Putin is propping up he economy with HUGE currency reserves that he built up before the war and the increased income from high gas prices, but of those things are finite
Yes its going to be tough and its going to cost the European economies a lot but the alternative is just unthinkable
my opinion anyway

Guess what the same oil and gas is being sold to China, India and Turkey and probably other countries then being sold to Europe at way higher prices. As I said it is not about how we feel but a question of getting energy prices down. Think of those countries as middleman adding to the cost.

Yeah but Russia's biggest customer by far is Europe and Putin would have great difficulty in selling that same gas to China, India or Turkey because there is no pipeline to those countries.TheButcher wrote: ↑September 6th, 2022, 8:04 pmGuess what the same oil and gas is being sold to China, India and Turkey and probably other countries then being sold to Europe at way higher prices. He would have to ship it as LNG and he doesnt have the compressors or the infrastructure to do that. Nor can he get hold of them because of the sanctions. That's why he recently burnt off a load of gas because the European pipeline was shut down and there was no way he could ship it to China. He just had to dump it
If we give in to Putin he will have a strangle hold on the entire western world. Remember this is a man who was never elected. Nobody ever voted for Putin. He's guilty of murdering his opponents, locking them up and even using weapons grade poisons on foreign soil. He is corrupt as fuck and we simply cannot give a man like that all that power

Boris made his mark in history by getting us Brexit done. He deserves a knighthood just for that.I see him sitting in the House of Lords in the next 5 years. He is my hero.

Nigel Farage deserves the credit for Brexit. Boris will get the title down the road, probably when Charles is King. It is too soon after his departure at Conservative part leader and prime minister considering the way he resigned. It is coming for sure.Britporn_Mike wrote: ↑September 7th, 2022, 7:43 amBoris made his mark in history by getting us Brexit done. To be clear Nigel Farage did Brexit, he campaigned nearly all his political career for is, he was very vocal when an MEP in Brussels about leaving the EU. He was so committed to Brexit that he did the unselfish ct of not running for PM in the last election so as not to contest the 317 conservative seats so his Brexit party does not take away potential votes and let Labour slip in to power and not go with the Brexit mandate the British people gave the government.
Yes Boris was PM when Brexit happened, yes he did his best to get it done, more than I can say for his predecessor Theresa May who really did not have her heart in Brexit.
And with that good Wednesday morning
