As far as I was told as long as your 2257 points to the person / company who is supposed to hold the documents then the liability is on them if they don't actually have the documents... I can see a number of ways that could backfire like I say though that's what I was told.

Yeah and dealing with the nightmare of keeping your own documents. Forget to dot an i or cross a t and you're in hot water as well.

There's a certain amount of risk involved with being an adult webmaster. You either accept it or go elsewhere. Do the best you can to minimize exposure, cross your fingers and move on. You can't agonize over everything if you want to make a dime. Have some faith and hope for the best.
