It was obvious to me on Monday that he was not going to survive this latest scandal. He will be remembered for delivering Brexit, a major feat which deserves credit.

I dont believe all the media hype that they were having boozy parties and conga lines and all that crap during lockdown
After all, this was in summer 2020 when people were too scared to touch a shopping trolley without wiping it down first let alone touching eachother
It should have been up to the british people to vote him out and not the media
Im sure putin is laughing his ass off right now

Brexit is a defining event in UK history. Look at the EU it's a joke and getting to be more of a joke by the day.

This "Yes Minister" clip never fails to make me laugh, it was decades before Brexit.

Absolutely right. You cant get 27 countries to agree on ANYTHING. It only takes one country to use its veto and nothing gets done.TheButcher wrote: ↑July 7th, 2022, 6:13 pm

They should have done it with some kind of proportional representation so bigger countries have more of a say than the little ones. Its too late now

Never going to happen for a few reasons. First of all he already resigned and secondly the Queen doe snot need any more drama at her time in life, the stories behind Andrew and Harry were enough.Britporn_Mike wrote: ↑July 8th, 2022, 7:52 amTheoretically the Queen can fire him and dissolve Parliament but it is not going to happen,he already resigned.

Prime Ministers seem to resign but Presidents hardly ever do, why is that.

There is a reason for that. In the US a presidents can only do a maximum of 2 terms but there's no limit to the number of terms a Prime Minister can do. Prime Ministers simply hang on until they are kicked out
And its a big problem too because here in the UK we end up with a bunch of professional politicians who's only aim is to hang onto power for as long as possible
We should limit them to 2 terms like the US and that would cut out a lot of the bullshit and spin that politicians use to make sure they get re-elected

Next you will propose the House of Lords be an elected body not a bunch of people who got nominated because of the old boy networktacnet wrote: ↑July 9th, 2022, 9:06 amThere is a reason for that. I agree on the term limits and an elected upper house btw.
