Every time I hear of a Russian or Ukrainian on the news the guys name is Vladimir. Is that a common name in Russia and Ukraine?
I ask because some times you hear a name and for some reason it sticks in your head and you seem to hear more people with that same name.
[NON-BUSINESS] Is every man in Russian and Ukraine called Vladimir

Well I have 2 friends called Elvis might be because the King was very popular in the 1950's and 1960's and parents started calling their sons that name. Parents often pick celebrity, actors, or whatever name seems to be trending at the time for their kids.
Luckily Covid has not become a popular name for kids
