I pay about $1500-$2000 for hosting per month including custom management.
I think currently I have 6 custom servers. Would have to look!
Load balancing, dedicated backups, redundant servers, etc.
Also a several low end shared servers and a few shared hosting accounts.
Prices range from $4 per month (shared/shit)into the hundreds (custom screaming fast)
Pricing, you get what you pay for.
I would rather pay $100 more per month and have better support and a fast site.
I would never have a server running on 8GB of ram, complete waste of time.
SSD or go home.
Build your hosting like you plan on succeeding!
These are my top main servers.
Intel Xeon-E 2136 - 6c/12t - 3.3 GHz/4.5 GHz
64 GB ECC 2666 MHz
2×1 TB SSD NVMe
AMD Ryzen 7 3800X - 8c/16t - 3.9 GHz/4.5 GHz
64 GB ECC 2666 MHz
2×960 GB SSD NVMe
Ryzen 9 3900X
960GB SSD Drive
RAM 64GB RAM
4TB SATA Hard Drive

I agree with 99% of what you posted besides the 8gb of ram 8gb is enough for a few sites that don’t get a ton of traffic , more is better tho 16gb is much better.

I agree in part, mostly with the 16gb
What you are wasting with 8GB of ram is your time while you work on the site.
You are wasting Google's time while it crawls your site.
I am a firm believer that every millisecond a person waits for the site is a second closer to them leaving.
For my non-adult clients, while convincing them to upgrade hosting, I tell them that they are paying me several dollars to per minute to wait on the page to load. 5 seconds to save and refresh ten pages or ten times, is a minute of my time. Several hours of my time per week or month is several minutes of waiting for the site, Either way they are paying for the speed of the server. Either in my time or for hosting. Then consider all the waiting by their employees checking orders and waiting for those pages 3 to 5 seconds (remember we are talking about 8GB slow shared servers), then consider their own personal time. How often does your share server suddenly almost stop responding for a few minutes? Well those few minutes are valuable and you never get them back. For another $100 per month... Remove almost all the waiting.
I think it was Tacnet that was giving me so much shit bout how slow NUDE.com site was. and rightly so! I did not care at that moment and new the fix. Super fast hosting does not fix a shit wordpress theme, so I upgraded to http://themify.domainsecure.com Cause I really like this theme and the developers are GREAT!
Sure the needs lots of help, but now that I am working on it, at least it loads a lot faster than when Tacnet was running his face about.
The point someone is noticing how slow your site is, 16GB is MUCH better, 8GB is you are developing the site.
In fact, if you are developing and you want good free hosting to develop on, with a wordpress site. I offer free development wordpress hosting on my http://wpengine.domainsecure.com account!
Once developed you can copy to another host or start paying, your choice, I don't care. I think you will really enjoy a fast host. Been supplying this free hosting for years.
If you want to be on the servers listed above. register a subdomain on NUDE.com and hosting is included. Wordpress or CWpanel or redirect to your own hosting. Link in NUDE.com header to your site. ($100 value per month)

Just curious to see what people consider a good deal.
I would stuff a 500GB disk in there charge $49.99 a month.
