I have been using private name servers for years, it looks cleaner and when I come to move hosts it will be a matter of just redoing the name servers not all my domains across various registrars. I go through Goddady and it took me 5 minutes to setup.

yes every major business runs their own name servers

I talked to Godaddy today all you need is a domain, so it's not an expensive proposition.

This is up to you but I got my own 5 years ago, it costs next to nothing and is simple to setup.

Probably will say it is not important for Google but it has it's benefits. Moving your server for one thing.
