No surprise to me, but we will see how this plays out, I am no lawyer (not even play one on tv ) but I think Mindgeek has a decent chance of an appeal on this based on how I read Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. My comment is not about the accusations made in the law suit or the case itself but specifically the interpretation of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act itself.

"U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler of the Northern District of Alabama, Western Division, ........ rejected the argument that MindGeek is protected through Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which grants a level of immunity for video hosting websites and social media platforms with third-party content."

More work and money for lawyers, simple cases that get thrown out of court are not lucrative for lawyers.

When you're the biggest you get most of the hate and attention in more ways than you want.
Give me celebrity porn

It is not easy being a big porn company, every one thinks they just make millions but there are expenses and law suits to deal with too.

Alabama is not the best place to be defending a porn site

Why are there any states that are pro-porn in the US?
