Guess you won't change your ev battery 😆😆😆🤣
Here are some examples of popular EV models' battery weight: A Tesla Model S has a roughly 544 kg (1,200 pound) battery. A Tesla Model Y has a 771 kg (1,700 pound) battery. By contrast, a Nissan Leaf has an average battery weight of just 303 kg (668 pounds).

Like I just posted on the other thread, lithium ion batteries are getting smaller and more efficient all the time but the big breakthrough will be Graphene Batteries. Its much lighter and more efficient than Lithium Ion and can be charged in a fraction of the time
Chinese EV manufacturer GAC Motor are currently testing the Aion V, the first vehicle to be equipped with a grephene battery that can "Recharge to 80% capacity in 8 minutes at its fastest". https://www.gac-motor.com/en/media/news ... d/166.html
The problem is scaling up the production of graphene. Its very tricky and expensive to produce but those problems will undoubtedly be solved
Then you'll have nothing to complain about

Wait until the EV's run out of warranty and you need service and repairs.

Actually EVs need a lot less servicing than normal cars
They have a lot less moving parts and fluids so there is no need for routine maintenance like oil changes, cooling system flushes, transmission servicing, and replacements for air filters, drive belts, or spark plugs.
Also the energy used to brake is converted into electricity to power the motor. That means your brake pads will last a lot longer. Typically well over 100,000 miles (as opposed to 30-40,000 miles on a gas car)
And nowdays most manufacturers provide a warranty on the battery for at least 8-years or 100,000 miles.

I dont know why you are going out of your way to try and pick holes in EVs ??? Have you actually ever driven one ???BrasSmonkey wrote: βAugust 8th, 2023, 12:36 amyou buy up the fucking toy cars then.tacnet wrote: βAugust 7th, 2023, 9:43 pmActually EVs need a lot less servicing than normal cars

Compared to a petrol/diesel car they are FAR cheaper to run, they are WAY quicker (most mid to high end EVs will outpace a Lamborghini), they require much less maintenance and servicing, they last a lot longer, the charging period is coming down all the time (soon you will be able to charge up in as little as 8 - 10 minutes) and most importantly they emit NO CO2 ..... what is there not to like ????
They are coming whether you like it or not so stop trying to pick holes all the time and get with the program
