Hello happy new year have a question for you all, I text friends and family to say happy new year, my aunt told my dad today that I was too lazy to call her and say happy new year all I did was a text. Is text good enough for you or do you expect a phone call to say happy you know whats.

Let me guess your aunt is over 70 and old school, people over 60 prefer a phone call if you are not close enough to go visit them. Believe it or not when my son texts me I call him back, I hate texting because I type with 2 index fingers and make a lot of typos. Heck my uncle still sends a Christmas card every year, eve though we see eachother all the time but that's the 84 year old way of doing things, cards, in person not a phone call or text.

He will text me interesting news links but a greeting has to be in person ant the very least by phone. Since you care enough to text your aunt take 2 minutes to pick up the phone and call her, if that will make her happy.

I agree it's a generational thing which is changing fast.
