Be careful what add server you use

Ive been coming across a growing problem with several affiliates recently

It seems that more and more add servers are being blocked by various anti-virus apps as having dangerous code on them. Norton Anti-Virus in particular (which has around a 70% market share so is widely used) is blocking several of our affiliates sites because of the add servers they link to

The trouble is, it doesn't just block the iframe or resource that links to that add server. Instead the whole page diverts to a big Malicious Site warning like this :-

That means that anybody using Norton Anti-Virus can not access your site. You might even think you are linking to a legitimate add server but they in turn could be pulling up code from a known malicious site and that will cause the whole page to divert

Ive seen several BIG affiliates loosing a LOT of traffic like this but because they dont use Norton Anti-Virus, they cant see the problem

Some of the urls that Norton has flagged recently include :-

https://undrininvereb.info
https://pogothere.xyz
https://cosymeditatepub.com
https://tubemov.com
https://richshredinger.com
https://likenesspoke.com

If you are unsure if your site is being blocked, then pm me a link and I will check it for you

I tested these six.

https://undrininvereb.info
https://pogothere.xyz
https://cosymeditatepub.com
https://tubemov.com
https://richshredinger.com
https://likenesspoke.com

I run Avast not Norton.

First 2 are secure connection failed so no website loads.

Third one redirects to Google.com

Fourth one loads

Fifth one is a page says 404.

Sixth one redirects to Google.com

Right now, all but the 4th and 5th ones are being blocked by Norton with the big red screen. (A month or two ago it was all 6 of them)

Unless you run Norton, you might not be able to see the issue but the problem is, a huge percentage of users WILL be using Norton so that will have a big impact on your traffic.

Loading resources from any domain you dont own is always a risk. You dont know what code they are pulling from where and add servers are always prone to this kind of thing as they can appear on lots of websites, some with malicious intent.

I think the first thing to do is to get yourself a copy of Norton Anti Virus because (as vblogger says) they seem to be the google of anti virus apps.

If its not blocked by Norton then the chances are you will be ok

ps Ive just found another traffic trade partner who's site has been blocked by Norton and he had no idea. That 3 in the last 2 weeks !!
