Take it from me you will never know half of what there is to know about seo, I have been at it for years and still can not get on top of it all.

The first you do is identify your target market and the content they expect.


Then you start gathering content!

Then you work on functionality! Then content for the functionality.

You need a navigation/funnel strategy. How are visitors going to find the content on your site and navigate to it.


26 years of this industry and people/designers still say get a logo first or graphics or something else they read on Google..

Google is a confirmation bias search engine. Do not trust it or the results just cause they are on the first few pages.
Unless you really know what query to use to find great results.

What is your target market? Most people do not know or worse think they do and are wrong!

What content do you have or do you plan to create?
Where will you find more content.
