[BUSINESS] American Express, Visa and Mastercard banned in Russia

American Express, Visa and Mastercard banned in Russia so the users with balances on these cards , do they have to still make payments or can they say fuck it and not pay the balances off.

Ive just seen that this does NOT affect Visa and Mastercard issued by Russian banks and used in Russia. It only affects Russians who are outside of Russia and trying to use their credit cards.

Yeah thats how i thought it would work but on the news just now it said that cards issued by Russian banks will continue to work inside Russia (apparently they have their own internal payment system) but that they would no longer work outside Russia

I saw on the news that Russian bank issued Visa and Mastercards will work in Russia but not outside the country. Plus non-Russian bank issued cards will not work inside Russia.

If they stop paying it might affect their credit (if they have credit ratings in Russia)
