It's been an hour and a 23 mins my server is throwing 500 errors, no word back from my host.

In 23 years I have never run into a host that has a better tech support department than my current host, I bug them for things I can not do myself in CPanel and some times not joking it gets done in 2-3 minutes from opening the initial ticket. Go check out Host4Porn you can not go wrong with these guys, and their prices are really good.
