Hello is there a counter for WP to show visitors to the site?

yes in the footer of my blogs

Oh.. Gotcha.
Hit Counter used to be good, but WP took them down because of guideline violations a couple years ago.

I use WP Statistics ... it comes with a widget you can add to the sidebar (or anywhere) to brag about visitors

what's the point of showing you have 100 or 1000 visitors to a site?

To start the counter at 1000000 to make it seem like the site is more popular than it is. Or if you want to be accurate on your prize giveaways at every millionth visitor.. :p

If you need stats why not use your Webalizer or AWstast on the server
