We dont have an official language. Of course, most people speak English but there is also Welsh and Gaelic. There is simply no point in legislating an official language. It's meaningless

English and French in Canada are both official languages but French is the official in Quebec where I live.

No it isn't. We don't have an official language. In fact a lot of countries don't explicitly state an official language because its largely meaningless. Something like 92% of our population speaks English but that doesn't mean we have to get rid of the other 8% that don't.

This is a completely pointless gesture by Trump. What is he expecting ?? To go and arrest people that don't speak English ???

I agree it is just not an important issue.And yes he might try arrest people knowing how he thinks,
