Part of the shake up by Mastercard/Visa a couple of years ago (after they withdrew Pornhub's merchant account) was to demonstrate that you had an effective DMCA procedure
We maybe get one or two a year but we always delete the content immediately. We can argue counter claims etc later but its never come to that

If the host is outside of America you are going to have way more trouble getting them to co-operate.

Some, sure. Others happily cooperate because copyright laws are universal and actually more stringent outside of America. Piracy is not legal anywhere and mark my words, it's days are numbered.GlennfromLA wrote: ↑April 6th, 2024, 2:11 pmIf the host is outside of America you are going to have way more trouble getting them to co-operate.

Sad to say some people do not care and the only way to stop it is to arrest and lock up some big players to teach others a lesson.Word will get out that way.alex_delevit wrote: ↑April 7th, 2024, 4:29 pmSome, sure. Most of the damage is on the creator/content owner side.
Webmasters that host pirated content tend to benefit from it, but not complying with removal requests is a sure way to eventually get shut down and to stop that gravy train.
Content is only considered to be infringing once it's reported, until then you're in the clear.
Why not comply?
Question for the group - if you could have a simple process for complying with the law (even fully automated) and become legally compliant, significantly lowering your chances of ever getting sued, and even if you do get sued you would have a great defense in court - almost guaranteeing you will not end up having to pay any damages - what would that be worth to you?
$5/mo ----- $1,000 per month? Somewhere in between?
Maybe based on volume of takedown notices you receive? If so, what would automating each notice be worth? $1 ----- $20? Somewhere in between?

This cam aff network helped to make me real money before 2022 and this one works since 2023

Let's connect. We are working on a software solution to exactly this problem. I sent you a DM. Happy to connect with other webmasters to learn how you deal with them now and help you automate the process.
