Obviously we have different views on this and I respect your opinion but Im not going to keep arguing with you

Perhaps its because we are in different parts of the world. Im in a country where Putin has used chemical weapons twice. The last time they had to close down half of Salisbury because he released Novichoc there in an attempt to kill one of his critics. He even used Novichoc on Victor Yushcenko, the president of Ukraine. Here's the before and after images :-

Image

This is how Putin deals with his opponents !!

Ontop of that, he threatened to kill Boris Johnson !! You might not be aware of that but Boris himself admitted the other day that Putin had threatened to kill him

Here in Europe we see Putin as a dangerous dictator that needs to be stopped. That's why so many countries are supporting Ukraine, not to make money but to stop Putin

My father's family are from Hungary and he said the same thing when this war started, the thing he said is what if some more of a hardliner comes along when Putin retires one day. Food for thought.

Thats a good point. I honestly think this will end up with Russia becoming a pariah state like North Korea or Iran, unless Putin is somehow overthrown.

Without Putin this war could end tomorrow

If you believe everything the mainstream media says then you are exactly what they want people to be a non-thinking person. So if they say the sky is green and the oceans are orange you will repeat it.

I disagree it will stop when the world's most powerful man aka the US president says so. President trump said he could stop it in a day. Obviously I am not privy to what he is thinking or would do, but I could stop this war in an hour. I guarantee this would work, 2 phone calls and maybe five of time for both calls.

Here is what I would do.

Ring ring hello Zelensky this is the US president here's the deal, you will sit down with the Russian president come up with an immediate ceasefire in 1 hour and negotiate a peace treaty. If you do not do this I am going to stop all aid, money, equipment to you, then you are on your own, bye.

2 minutes of time.

Next call to Putin, hi Vlad this is the US president, here is the scoop man, you are going to call a ceasefire in an hour, call Zelensky site down make a peace treaty. If you don't do as I say then I am ordering nato to enter Ukraine and defend it, bye.

That was another 2 minutes.

That is how it can be done.

It would be nice if it was that easy but its never going to happen. Too much at stake for too many countries

I dont want to sound like Im cheering for this war as I wouldn't wish war on anybody but according to Jens Stoltenberg (head of Nato), 98% of the aid that Ukraine was asking for for their spring offensive is now in Ukraine (incluing 230 tanks, mostly Leopard 2s and a huge stockpile of ammunition).

Also, all the Ukranian soldiers that were being trained in countries like UK, Germany, US etc are now fully trained and back in the Ukraine

As one analyst put it, the "storm is about to break" so Im guessing we are about to see a massive counter strike by the Ukranians any day now

Putin leaves the next leader is going to be more hawkish, he has shown quite a lot of restraint and not gone crazy but stayed focused on his goals in this special military operation. The devil you know is better than the one you do not know.

I dont think anybody seriously believes this was an assassination attempt. It was such a tiny explosion that it didn't even knock over the flag pole and in a building the size of the Kremlin, the chances of hitting Putin were ZERO. Its like trying to take out Biden by throwing a fire cracker at the White House

Much more likely is that this was yet another false flag operation to give Putin justification for his war.

I tend to agree with the first part but I do not see it as a false flag act, it was probably done to embarrass and humiliate Russia on the eve of the May 9th celebrations. Whatever it was it could have led to a major escalation in this conflict which Ukraine is hoping for so Nato enters the theatre of operations so they stand a chance, because with all the help form the West Ukraine knows they still have no chance of winning this thing.

Sorry but Im completely the opposite opinion.

I think its Russia who dont stand a chance of winning this thing. Think of all the world leaders who have publicly stated that they will back Ukraine (quote) "for as long as it takes".

That's not just the US but also the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Canada, Japan, Australia and many more. For Russia to win then all those countries would have to be proved wrong and admit that they invested billions of dollars in Ukraine for nothing. Thats just not going to happen

Far more likely is that all those countries will INCREASE their support of Ukraine until Russia backs down.

I see the UK has just announced they are supplying Ukraine with long range missiles and have committed to providing fighter jet support. As we saw with tanks, it wont be long before the rest of the world follows suit

The world will not tolerate Russia ever winning this war

I think this war was over before it started, Ukraine never had a chance and I feel sorry for all the innocent people dying.
My guess if this so called "Spring offensive" they have been talking of for months is going to cost them more lives, and the supporters will say hey buddy you gave it your best shot and failed, now go make a peace agreement. The longer it takes the less of a bargaining position Ukraine has, I wish they would do a deal now.

The sooner they sit down make a peace agreement, the less people killed, less territory lost and more chance of a deal they can sell to their people.

Just a wild guess but this thing is going to be over by the end of Summer latest early Autumn.

I love debating topics with you Adrian, we might not always agree but it's cordial unlike with some people.

Peace
