It's the famous "Fermi Paradox"

If you don't know it, there was a guy called Enrico Fermi (who worked on the Manhattan Project) and he made a casual comment over lunch one day in 1950 that has become famous and is known as the Fermi Paradox

He pointed out that the Milky Way contains around 200 billion stars and likely trillions of planets (many of which will be capable of supporting life) and it's been around for over 13 billion years which is more than enough time for intelligent life to form and start to explore the galaxy. Even with slow interstellar travel, a spacefaring civilization could colonize the entire galaxy in a few million years. Yet, observations show complete radio silence and no physical signs of alien megastructures or visitors

So he simply asked "Where is everybody ???"
