So Ive had a bit of a scare with this over the last few days

Came down with a REALLY bad flu on Sunday. Temperature was sky high but I still could taste and smell so i figured it was just a bad flu. Yesterday I went and had a test and it came back this morning as POSITIVE !!

Thankfully Ive had both my jabs and im feeling a little bit better today but I can honestly say Ive never felt that bad before in my life

Believe me you do NOT want to catch this without having any protection.

Break through infections are happening every where it seems to be what is driving the new waves especially with the Delta variant out there, take care of yourself man. Does the test hurt?

Data collected from 18 states between March and August suggest the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine reduces the risk of being hospitalized with COVID-19 by 91% in the first four months after receiving the second dose. Beyond 120 days, however, that vaccine efficacy drops to 77%.

"Wuhan scientists were planning to release enhanced airborne coronaviruses into Chinese bat populations to inoculate them against diseases that could jump to humans, leaked grant proposals dating from 2018 show.

New documents show that just 18 months before the first Covid-19 cases appeared, researchers had submitted plans to release skin-penetrating nanoparticles containing “novel chimeric spike proteins” of bat coronaviruses into cave bats in Yunnan, China.

They also planned to create chimeric viruses, genetically enhanced to infect humans more easily, and requested $14million from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa) to fund the work.

Papers, confirmed as genuine by a former member of the Trump administration, show they were hoping to introduce “human-specific cleavage sites” to bat coronaviruses which would make it easier for the virus to enter human cells.

When Covid-19 was first genetically sequenced, scientists were puzzled about how the virus had evolved such a human-specific adaptation at the cleavage site on the spike protein, which is the reason it is so infectious.

(Reuters) -Laboratory studies show that Merck & Co's experimental oral COVID-19 antiviral drug, molnupiravir, is likely to be effective against known variants of the coronavirus, including the dominant, highly transmissible Delta, the company said on Wednesday.

Since molnupiravir does not target the spike protein of the virus - the target of all current COVID-19 vaccines - which defines the differences between the variants, the drug should be equally effective as the virus continues to evolve, said Jay Grobler, head of infectious disease and vaccines at Merck.

Molnupiravir instead targets the viral polymerase, an enzyme needed for the virus to make copies of itself. It is designed to work by introducing errors into the genetic code of the virus."

We are now getting pills to fight Covid-19, this is good news. Merck has one in the experimental stage.

Noe all pharma are scrambling to get their booster shots approved so they can make more money. Only way to sum things up. If their full doses had been 100% effective and stamped out the virus we would not need a booster shot and they would not be making continued money off this thing.

I think your right about this coming from a lab in china (seems a hell of a coincidence that the lab was only a few miles away from the wet market) but the question is what can you do about it ??

Nobody wants to start a war over this and half the world is massively in debt to china already.

Whatever sanctions we put on them they know they only have to wait 4 years and there will be a new guy in charge. Thats the great weakness of deomcracy and both China and Russia know it

Sanctions don't work, all they do when you levy them against powerful countries is make them more self-sufficient. I think in the long term it actually hurts the countries who put on sanctions more than the ones they are targeting.

My take we are good for 6-7 months after the 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine...

Hmm so much for all the fuss over vaccine passports then, not much good after 6 months going around thinking you should be okay because you are fully vaccinated is it. It is a false sense of security.Now trace the money trail and you usually get to know what is going on and who are the winners in a case. You are going to ned a booster shot every 6 months for a long time to come. Eight billion population in the world, that's 16 billion booster shots a year, some serious business kids
