Why Thomas Tuchel took off the goalscorer Anthony Gordon plus Reece James and Declan Rice replaced them with Ezri Konsa, Dan Burn, and Nico O'Reilly who are defenders beats me. England was winning by 1 to nothing in the 2nd half, there was a lot of the 2nd half to go what was he thinking. I was so mad at the end I would hope they fire Tuchel.

A friend of mine asked me if I want to get together watch the England France losers game I said no. First of all I am really upset England lost to Argentina, I staunchly believe 90% of the reason are the changes Tuchel made in the second half, I already said my peace in the previous post. Second who cares if you come out 3rd or 4th, there are only winners in life not 2nd third or fourth places.

I totally agree with you. England ALWAYS seems to do this. They go one goal up and then sit back and defend, defend, defend until the other team equalizes. After the first goal, we barely got out of our own half and then Tuchel brings on more defenders making the problem even worse. There was simply no out ball.

By contrast, the England women's team don't do this. They keep their foot on the gas from start to finish which is why they have been two times European champions and runners up in the last world cup.

What I think he plan was to win without more goals, but it did not go as planned, just a wild guess.

The sports bar we usually go to has a happy hour an hour before it starts today until an hour after the winner is announced. So we're going.

I did not watch yesterdays England - France game but I heard the score. Not that being 3rd or 4th matters but well done to the English team.

England should have won against Argentina in the semi finals, so Spain made my day today.

Just as a by stander who is not into soccer, I watched some of the matches over the past month,Argentina really did not go out there give them their best. Congrats to Spain they really busted their legs to win and win they did.
