[BUSINESS] Namecheap is pissing me off
To login it says en email has been sent to the address on file with a verification code, fucking email won't arrive for hours, so I closed the page and started again, an hour later I get the verification code in the email, I put it in, it's the wrong code because it was for the previous session. So started a third time now and leaving the page open. Fuck Godaddy is the best but they charge extra for private whois.

I agree with both your comments, Godaddy is the best and their support times are very short. Earlier this year I had the same email verification problem you mentioned.

Verifying my latest domain was annoying at Namecheap and I wasn't sure if it even worked, but it did. Other than that, though, Namecheap is my favorite registrar.

Change the authentication to text messaging it's faster I use it and it works.

How can you beat their offer, domain privacy for free, obviously some thing has to give. If they hired dozens of round the clock phone support people it would have to be factored into the price per domain.

Namecheap now requires a 2 step authentication, I had an email form them a while back, I set mine up for the email/code method. Login you should see a message in your account to that effect.

It's for your protection, if that does not work for you, switch to one of their 2 other verification methods.misterporn wrote: ↑September 18th, 2021, 12:16 pmTo login it says en email has been sent to the address on file with a verification code, fucking email won't arrive for hours, so I closed the page and started again, an hour later I get the verification code in the email, I put it in, it's the wrong code because it was for the previous session. If I remember correctly "Netsol" started up as a registrar in 1991, Symbolics.com. was the first registrar back in 1985.
I used to go with Netsol back then when it was $70 for 2 years per dot com, times have changed.
