One of the most prominent families on TikTok allegedly fell victim to hackers and got locked out of their accounts, which collectively boast tens of millions of followers.
On Dec. 13, hackers appeared to take control of Dixie D’Amelio’s TikTok account. With 46.4 million followers as of writing, the older D’Amelio sister is one of the most-followed people on the app.
Before her account was deleted entirely on Dec. 14, some of her followers captured photos and screen recordings of videos that the alleged hackers posted to her account. Before TikTok took action and disabled the account, the supposed hacker also went live and plugged his own Instagram account, @koiiddd.
