At first I was thinking this was talk to get some trade deal with China that changed now that it became law. On the other hand if the owners change and the platform remains the same end users will not care.

It's been put back to a year so the election is over, but both Biden and Trump are anti-TikTok so it will not matter who wins.

China will never let go of the backend tech on TikTok they might shut it down here before giving away the tech. What if they say the same about Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Google, Bing or any other company we have operating in China, it may be their way of retaliating back at us.
