"President Donald Trump told ABC News earlier that retaliatory strikes on Iran would be "very strong, very powerful" after the country downed a US helicopter last night.

During the phone interview, Trump reportedly said it was "important" for the US to respond to the helicopter downing.

"We are responding as we speak," he is quoted as saying.

The president added: "This is a response to what they did, they did with our helicopter last night, and I believe the response should be very strong, very powerful, and that’s what this one is."

It seems obvious to me that Iran are deliberately slow rolling this. The more time that goes by, the more pressure builds on Trump to cut a deal.

My guess is they will try and keep it going through to the mid-terms. They know it's an unpopular war in America and could cost Trump control of the house and the senate. If that happens, Congress could force Trump to pull US forces out.

Mid terms and the existing oil being released from the strategic oil reserves to keep prices down, itis going to start getting low where they can not put out more and the price of oil products will get peoples' attention.

He wakes up, threatens to blow the shit out of Iran unless they sign, then cancels the strikes at the last minute and says we are 2 or 3 days away from a peace deal which Iran always denies. He then repeats the whole thing over and over again. How many times is that now ???

My guess is that the behind the scenes negotiations boil down to one thing and that is Iran simply saying "How much are you going to pay us to open the strait" ??

President Donald Trump condemned Israel's strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon's capital of Beirut on Sunday and demanded an end to the aggression.

Trump made the statement in a post on his Truth Social account, saying the strikes threatened to crater chances of making a peace deal with Iran.

"This morning’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran. Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it was responding to was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process," Trump wrote.

"We are very close to a Deal that will bring peace to the region, including to Lebanon, and all sides should stand down. There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon, but there should also be no more attacks by any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel. This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace — Let’s not blow it!" he added.

Trump is mad to keep putting deadlines on this peace deal. Iran has ignored every single deadline Trump has put out there so why would they sign the deal today like Trump said they would ??? At the very least, they will delay it until sometime next week just to embarrass Trump and show that they are in control. What's he going to do ?? Start bombing them again ??
