The good thing here is you care about doing a legal thing, so many in this industry won;t care for a second if it is legal or not.

I do agree there could be a problem if you change sponsors down the road.

The fact you ask if you can do it legally is enough to impress me of your morals in business. Best wishes to you and good to see there are still honest people in this world.

Using the Apple logo is a bad idea as it is trade marked... get creative take a bite out of real apple clean the edges of the bite photoshop it to look more like a graphic than the real thing and use that.... as for having Apple in the domain name an apple is a fucking apple so as long as you don't copy "Apples" shit like the logo then there cant be a problem.

Only an attorney is qualified to make a legal comment, seek legal advice up front.

From my experience as NOT an attorney.
Using the apple logo,, NO!
https://www.apple.com/legal/intellectua ... rties.html
Have no idea what 'Apple friends' is so, maybe.
Buy the domain, worst case you waste the registration money.
If you are contacted to turn it over, just agree and charge them a transfer management supervision fee.
Works every time.
Sure you can have your possibly trademarked domain. The transfer management supervision fee is $500.
Your not selling it to them, you are being paid for your time to manage the transfer of the domain from your account to their account at the same registrar.
Been in this business and own lots of questionable domain names. People normally just pay the fee to get it over with. Anyothers, I never hear back from.. Court is expensive.
Don't use anyone's anything that has the TM or R or SM or any other tiny letters anywhere near it.
Now if you are using the logo in posts that are say reviews of product, that is different.
Reviews are exempt from lots of these laws, so I hear from researching an adult review site that has clips of movies with NUDE people.
Satire is generally exempt from litigation. also.
It all 'depends' and that is real legal talk.
All that law school to give me the ability to say 'it depends".
BTW.

There are dozens of sites for example car forums with the brand name in them where they discuss that particular brand of cars.

Your example is not how i interpreted the question. A review site can use the logo all they want, in a review.
I interpreted the question as the site using the logo as the site logo. This usually a big NO NO!
