Culver City overgentrified to the point where it feels beyond Pasadena or Santa Monica. They've taken a narrow restaurant sized building and turned it into a overpriced food court with a bar upstairs. I went to one of the vendors selling pizza and asked for a coke. From his age and manners, I think he owned it.

He rang it up, $4.75, expecting me to pay by card. He saw me pull out cash and muttered "just give me three bucks."

Like you could just tell he was like "I don't wanna deal with that CC crap either!!" I think he pocketed it.
