I was cruising through some of the papers and something important did pop up.

Allegedly, the motive the CIA and Cubans had for going after JFK was no air support was provided for the infamous Bay of Pigs Invasion.

In the released documents, it's noted that three airmen of the Alabama Air National Guard flew air support for the Bay of Pigs and lost their lives in the mission. Details on who they were, or what they were flying was not mentioned.

Why keep it classified?

I've already brought up one bit. Three American airmen died in the Bay of Pigs operation. Something that the United States was not ready or willing to admit.

Other things that are kept secret in files like this are how information is gathered, classified sources, operations in progress, operatives still in the field or the names of informants. And social security numbers of American citizens are included in this paperwork.
