He has got no where with the seller and yes suing for a few bucks when the other guy is in some other country is a waste of time.

Why do content companies sell the license for the pics to the buyer not allow him to sell the content with his site?

Chalk it up to experience do not dwell on it, you got take. Either make a deal with the content boys or just take it offline. Sorry but that's the truth about what you are facing.

did anything change?brt22 wrote: ↑March 30th, 2019, 11:20 amif you buy a site and the you pay for it and the seller zips it up send it to you, then you get an email form one of the content companies who sold him the content telling you to remove their content because you do not own the license what would you do.
The sale went fine, I thought when I buy a site I own the domain and design and content, am I missing some thing.

This type of thing ruins it for all legitimate sellers
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

A friend of a friend told me last night that she was in this business and when she wanted to buy a site the license was not transferable with the site, the license was granted to the owner. He could use that license to run the script on all his domains. So what she did was to buy another license for her script. I think this would be the same for content on a site.

The seller is responsible and here is why. He bought the content for his site, he knew the terms of the license his content came with, he should have told the buyer up front those terms.
