My bank Wells Fargo is FDIC insured and I only trust them and if I wanted to use another bank there is no way I would use one that does not have FDIC coverage.

I was happy with Payoneer when ACH wasn't an option. Checks are a pain in the ass and wires are expensive. Payoneer was a convenient way to get paid and well worth the fees they charged. However, there is no way in hell that I would ever just leave money sitting in Payoneer. I would either spend it or withdraw and put it in my bank account. I'm not that trusting and I remember ePassporte. These payment companies serve a need but don't be fooled into believing your money is always safe and protected. They're great until shit hits the fan.

Going with any FDIC bank is a safe bet for me.

Yep, up to a certain amount. The insurance is capped. If I remember correctly years ago the cap was 40k per account. I have no clue if that has changed over the years or not.
