Because they are desperate throwing equipment and their best forces to get annihilated by the Russian military as usual. Instead of using their men and machinery to try defend the 600 mile front line they are going into the hornets nest. Dumb people make dumb decisions. They just pissed off the Russians even more and will get a good hiding not just in that area but in other places of Ukraine that the Russians might not have wanted to take over.

Putin has already lost this war and let me explain why

This was supposed to be over in a few weeks. A smash and grab campaign to wipe out Ukraine's leaders and occupy the country. Yet here we are in the 3rd year and Russia still only occupies around 1/5th of the country. Their losses have been staggering. British and French intelligence estimates that Russia has suffered 450,000 casualties (Ukraine puts the figure higher at 550,000). As of June 2024, they had lost over 3,100 tanks. Thats MORE than they sent into Ukraine in the first place. In other words, every single tank that Russia sent into Ukraine has been wiped out !

They have failed to achieve air supremacy against a country which hardly had an air force. Ukraine doesn't even have a navy and yet they have managed to decimate the black sea fleet so much that it has now left the black sea altogether !

On paper Russia was supposed to be the 2nd biggest military in the world but there is so much corruption that Putin is having to go cap in hand to a backward country like North Korea for weapons and ammunition.

And its not just a military defeat. Right now around 40% of Russia's national budget is going on war production (this is whats keeping their economy afloat) but once the war is over that crutch disappears and Russia's economy will tank. Not only that, Putin will have to rebuild Ukraine. Remember, Russia wants to annex Ukraine (or large parts of it) and so he needs to rebuild it. Right now, thats estimated at $480 billion but it will likely cost Russia more because they will be under constant attack by Ukrainian partisans

To make matters worse, China's big 4 banks recently stopped transacting with Russian companies for fear of western sanctions. This means that Russia is having to rely on the smaller, less reliable banks or use crypto. China has refused to provide military aid to Russia and its becoming more and more obvious that Russia needs China a lot more than China needs Russia

At some point this will end up at the negotiating table but right now, Putin has completely failed to achieve any of his objectives. And if you think Im making this up, just watch the video below
