Come July 1st all users visiting porn sites from the UK must be verified for age. This is not to be dismissed you all need to take measures.

I know it's early days yet but we are actually seeing a bit of a boost in UK signups

My guess is there are a lot of users who don't want to upload a selfie to the likes of Pornhub or XVideos and are not technically savvy enough to install a VPN so they are more willing to pay

In my opinion it all comes down to a internet user's email account. Everything runs using a user's email account. Only legal adults should be able to sign up for an email account. Kids need to be parented as butcher said. Parents should create and manage their kids email until they are a legal adult. Email providers could step up on this. If an adult signs up for free email service then they verify their age at the email service site and manage their kids email through the same account. The email service provides the option to flag their kids email as a 'Not Legal Adult'. The age checker is your email. Problem solved.

Well we are one week in from when this new law came into effect and I gotta say, its been a record week for UK signups !!!

This could really be a blessing for our industry. The big free sites like Pornhub, XVideos, Eporner etc have had no choice but to implement age verification and lets face it, how many users are going to want to upload a selfie to every porn site they visit ??? Not many.

This means UK users are left with only 2 options. Either get a VPN (and the average joe porn surfer doesn't know a damn thing about VPNs and/or doesn't want to incur the extra cost) OR get his credit card out and join a pay site
