Just has he set out in his essay of 2020. This is exactly the scenario that the rest of NATO is preparing for right now as NONE of them believe that Putin will stop at just the Donbas.
Even if Trump doesn't pull out of NATO altogether, he has certainly divided it and a weakened NATO is just what Putin wants to realize this dreams of a united Russia. Appeasing a ruthless dictator with ideas on expanding his empire does NOT stop a war, in fact it's more likely to start one (aka Hitler and the Munich agreement in 1938)
I seriously doubt Russia will fall for another ceasefire , they are not going to stop until the 4 major points outlined by Putin happen. The hard part and I do not envy Trump for it is pulling off what he promised, to end this war. Ukraine has no bargaining chips, Russia has all the cards from day one and from what i see the Ukrainians are loosing men and real estate at an ever increasing rate. I am honestly sorry for the people of Ukraine they have a tool for a leader. The end to this conflict will be on Putin's terms and when he says it. Ukraine missed the boat before it started, when it started and is now in no position to do anything but say we capitulate.

Russia is suffering far more casualties than Ukraine right now. US and UK Military Intelligence put the figure at over 1,000 a DAY and that's conservative. Ukraine and several independent Russian media sources put it at 1,200 - 1,500 a day. And that makes sense too. Russia has always fought by throwing more and more bodies into the "meat grinder" with little regard for their casualty rates. That's why Wagner boss Prigozhin got so pissed off with the Russian military bosses and started his march on Moscow. Remember the videos of Prigozhin with all those dead wagner fighters screaming at the Russian military bosses for allowing such massive casualties ??? And now Putin is having to recruit soldiers from Africa and North Korea. Anything but mobilize yet more RussiansTheButcher wrote: ↑November 14th, 2024, 12:50 pmtacnet wrote: ↑November 11th, 2024, 10:38 pmIf there is a ceasefire (and there's a lot of republicans who don't think we should abandon Ukraine) then I predict that within a few years, Putin will come back for the rest of Ukraine and the Baltic states. A year ago on this very thread, I mentioned that Russia controls around 20% of Ukraine........ what has changed since then ? They still control around 20% of the country and have lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers. Ontop of that, Ukraine now controls a sizeable chunk of the Kursk region.
Im not suggesting Ukraine is going to win. Trump will undoubtedly hand victory to Putin but that wont be the end of it. Putin will come back for the rest of Ukraine and for the Baltic states. He has said as much in his essay and that's why Europe is pushing so hard to stop him NOW

Tac you have to stop watching the BBC, I am not for war nor for either side but that is simply not true. Russia is gobbling up territory and wiping out the Ukrainian military faster every day. The loses are probably 1 Russian for every 7-10 Ukrainian dead and wounded.
With regards to the 20% land taken you have to understand Russia does not want land, they already are the largest country on the earth. They want to demilitarize the Ukrainian army which they have.
Everybody is now trying to push for a cease fire so Ukraine stops losing more land and people but Putin is sticking to his original 4 points. There is no reason for Putin to negotiate he's in 100% offensive mode and Ukraine has lost big time.

And I would say you have got to stop watching Fox News and Kremlin backed you tubers LOL. This is NOT coming from the BBC, this is coming from the US and UK military intelligence. And we know it to be true because we have Prigozhin saying it himself. The reason he led the march on Moscow was because he was horrified at the losses his group was allowed to sufferTheButcher wrote: ↑November 16th, 2024, 9:32 amtacnet wrote: ↑November 14th, 2024, 5:09 pmRussia is suffering far more casualties than Ukraine right now. If the losses were as you say (ie 10 Ukrainians to 1 Russian) then Ukraine would have collapsed years ago. They have a much smaller force than Russia and could not sustain those kind of losses.
You're being fed Russian disinformation

This is extremely dangerous why increase the risks for a bigger war, I do not get it.

Putin wont do a thing. Every red line he has drawn has already been crossed. Plus there is nothing he can do apart from attacking NATO and he's in no position to do thatjag wrote: ↑November 18th, 2024, 7:19 ambucksm wrote: ↑November 17th, 2024, 5:02 pmSleepy Joe is trying one last time to start ww3 before his term is up

It seems like this is more to do with the 12,000 North Korean troops that Putin is throwing at the Kursk region currently controlled by Ukraine. If Putin doesn't care about the lives of his own troops, then he sure as hell wont care about the lives of North Koreans.

Why the American people overwhelmingly voted for Trump, they are smart, they are tired of their country wasting hundred's of billions of dollars on Ukraine.
They do not want a direct war with Russia. Russia against 32 Nato countries means they will resort to nuclear weapons. Biden or whoever told him to authorize this has made America and the whole world a very dangerous place. He doesn't care he is old leaving office in 2 months, he started this war and want's to make trump's time harder in finding a peaceful resolution.
If I was Trump and truly wanted an end to this conflict I would already have picked up the phone called the acting president of Ukraine told him, don't you dare. You use an American long range missile to strike Russia I will stop all aid to Ukraine the first minute I am in office. My second call would be to Putin to tell him Zelensky is on notice.
Russia is not joking, read this article.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/ukraine-r ... -1.7385817
"The Kremlin said on Monday that any U.S. decision to allow Ukraine to fire American missiles deep into Russia would mean it was directly involved in the conflict.
When asked about weekend reports by the New York Times and Reuters that Biden's administration had made the decision on long-range strikes, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted that the reports were not based on any official statement."
"If such a decision was indeed formulated and brought to the Kyiv regime, then this is a qualitatively new round of tension and a qualitatively new situation from the point of view of U.S. involvement in this conflict," Peskov said.

But my opinion is Biden didn't start this war and nor did Zelensky. The only person who started this was was Putin and he did it because we let him get away with it in Crimea and so he has come back for more. And if we let him get away with it again, he will come back for even more
Remember as soon as Zelensky came to power, he flew to Paris for his one and only meeting with Putin and asked him what it would take to stop the fighting in the east ? Putin claimed he knew nothing about the fighting in the east and that it was nothing to do with him. Well now we know that was bullshit. Then there was a flurry of world leaders who went to meet Putin personally to try and persuade him not to start the war (even promising him that Ukraine would not join NATO for at least 10 years) but Putin refused to listen. This is Putin's war
Putin threatened to escalate if we provided long range missiles. He threatened again if we supplied tanks, then again if we provided jets, and again if any of his territory was invaded. We shouldn't back down to ruthless dictators just because they threaten to escalate. What happens if China threatens to escalate ?? Should we back down them too ???
Thats just my opinion and a lot of Americans (including republicans) agree
