Let us put the Government in charge of punishing people for doing things like this.

We already know that approximately 60% of people currently in jail were found Guilty, but as their cases are being reviewed they are found that they were really NOT Guilty.
Many people did not break the law, but were told to take the plea deal do to the cost of their defense.

Many people did not actually have drugs or a weapon. Either the test failed or the officer just lied.

In one death penalty cases in the late 90s, the main testifying officer was proven to be in Florida on vacation for the date he testified he physical witness the person on death row at a specific location. This person was about to die. A low level review of the case by a new employee found this horrifying fact. How long did this person stay in jail for something they did not do?

You want to give the Government more power over our lives.

My first wife/ X-wife, lied and lied to the Judge during our custody hearing. She told the Judge that I was doing what she was doing. Yes, she would act out, do crazy things to me and then tell the Judge that I did these things to her, or that I was acting out. Unfortunetly for her I was recording everything all the time and in the end she paid and I won custody. Not everyone can purchase spy equipment and hire PIs to defend themselves.
