[BUSINESS] All 404 Redirect to Homepage - Plugin has gone crazy

Not sure why all of a sudden my plugin shows 8744 broken links, wondering if it has anything to do with the Wordpress update to 6.0, any ideas?

Here is the dashboard message today.

Warning, You have many broken links (8744) that hurt your site's rank in search engines, UPGRADE your plugin and empower your site's SEO. Dismiss this message or check the plugin settings."

Just a guess but have you checked your .htaccess file ??? Wordpress is probably using mod_rewrite in your htaccess file to re-direct links

If youve upgraded wordpress but not the htaccess file then that might be whats causing the problem

Nothing wrong period. What I do for all my 404 hits.

Hi

Thats not what its doing. Wordpress uses mod_rewrite in the htaccess file to rewrite URLs to make them seo friendly

So something like www.myblog.com/viewtopc.php?id=1234 (no keywords) could become www.myblog.com/milf_with_big_tits_on_the_beach_1234/ (lots of keywords)

If the plugin changes the way that the urls are formed, then you must change the htaccess file to reflect that. Otherwise all your URLs will come up as 404s

On a side note, if your not using mod_rewrite then you almost certainly should be. Its probably the most powerful tool you have to improve your sites SEO and once you understand how it works, its very easy to implement
