US and UK launch strikes against Iran backed Houthi rebels in Yemen

British and US forces have launched an attack on Houthi targets in Yemen after the Iranian-backed group defied a warning to stop targeting ships in the Red Sea.

Nobody wants to see this escalating but we've been warning them for months to stop attacking commercial shipping through the red sea - 27 attacks in the last 2 months in support of Hamas !!

If they dont back down now then we are going to have to hit them and hit them HARD. This wont be a tit for tat escalation as the world cannot afford for the red sea to be closed off by a bunch of guys in fishing boats !

Who didn't see this one coming, those attacks on ships were not going to get ignored. Maybe now they'll learn a lesson stop attacking ships in the Red sea. I think they should have got the hint when the warships started coming to the Red sea that they are not there for a cruise but to solve the problem, well they just did that :)

Just saw the Houthi's response on CNN which, I have to admit made me chuckle :-

"We will confront America, make it kneel down, and burn its battleships and all its bases and everyone who cooperates with it, no matter the cost"

This is the same muslim extremists we have been fighting for over 20 years. First it was Al Qaeda, then Isis, then Hamas and now this bunch that nobody had ever heard of before now.....all backed by Iran

Note I said muslim extremists and NOT the muslim people in general. There are plenty of peaceful muslim countries on our side notably Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Turkey etc

What are they smoking, Yemen one of the poorest countries in the world which has had a civil war for about 10 years is not going to do too well with this kind of belligerent rhetoric, the US and UK will teach them a lesson if they don't stfu and stop attacking shipping in the region. They need to stop their actions now and not attack ships period. What is wrong with some people.

This is why we cant negotiate with these people. Their aims are so extreme as to be ridiculous and you cant negotiate with someone who believes God is on their side.

Hamas' constitution is to wipe out Israel and slaughter all the Jews. Same with Al Qaeda and Hezbollah. Isis are even worse, they want to take the White House and have the world ruled under sharia law !!

We all know that they have absolutely no chance of achieving their aims but the trouble is, they believe dying for their cause is a glorious thing

The only way these groups can fight back now is via another large scale terrorist attack like Hamas did on October 7th. But this time I think they will target the US or UK

It keeps our military busy that's good they can always use live fire exercises to keep them ready for a real war. This one is easy for us, we shoot some third world losers.
