It's there actually if you look up you can click on it, since it is now a one forum setup why make navigating a 2 click deal, you just land on the Mainchat straight away. Time is money.

This moves all the forum threads up one level in the site structure. That means google will attach a greater importance to each thread and is much more likely to index them
As previously mentioned, good time to put your website link in your signature as it will really boost your google crawling
Good job Butcher

My position on site maps is once I upload it the one time Google will find the pages and keep coming back for changes why bother updating the site map.TheButcher wrote: ↑January 8th, 2024, 7:11 pmAs a general rule I always do when I make changes to my sites

It depends on how big your site is and how often you add new content ?.
For small sites (less than 500 pages) then you can get a free one done quick and easy at https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ .
They're pro service is pretty cheap too. $5/month for 1000 pages, $10/month for 10,000 and so on. All the crawling is done by their servers AND they will automatically submit it to google for you too so its one of those things that you can just setup and forget about it. We've had them crawling https://www.tacamateurs.com for years and I just checked and last count was 157,000 pages and nearly 30,000 images. Now way would I want to be creating that on our servers, it takes them nearly a week to do it on their servers
If your adding a lot of new content regularly (like, for example, this forum) then a sitemap generator is a good way to make sure google keeps track of all your pages
Hope that helps
