I am on a fast cable connection, when on my laptop not even 7-8 metres from my router movies keep stopping and starting you know that little round circle thing on the screen going round and round as it loads.

I did an online speed test here https://www.speedtest.net/

Code: Select all

Result ID 15566632981

 DOWNLOAD Mbps 166.39
 UPLOAD Mbps 6.65
Ping ms 18 141 20

This is probably a routing issue

You can check it by opening a command prompt (Click on the Start Menu and in the search bar, type 'cmd', and press Enter) and then entering :-

tracert domain.com

Obviously replace domain.com with the domain you are viewing the videos from.

That will show you the hops between your PC and the destination server. If there are any slow ones or time outs then that could indicate the problem

Might be worth restarting your router too as that often clears out problems

I leave my laptop on for weeks on end, but some days I start noticing the performance sklows down, one restart of the thing and at the same time my modem/router does miracles.

Good tip tac.

A slow "Hop" can do that even if you are on a fast computer with highspeed cable. Welcome to the internets.
Give me celebrity porn
