Suella Braverman is sacked for the 2nd time and former PM David Cameron is in her job
I am not surprised PM Sunak kicked Suella Braverman out of the Home Office and his cabinet but I am truly surprised that former Pm David Cameron is in his cabinet as the new Home Secretary. I found it quite hilarious and sad that she herself born in the Uk from ethnically Indian immigrant parents was so hard on immigration. On the other hand I have always thought of former PM David Cameron as a man of integrity, wisdom and class. I hope he makes a move to become the next PM of the UK, the last few burnt offerings have been a dismal failure.
Who knows if there is a general election next year Sunak might be homeless and Cameron might be an elected PM of number 10, we seem to have started picking PM's by the party in power not by the will of the people.

Nope Sunak is toast then again Sir Keir Starmer is no better, Britain faces a dilemma neither party has a good leader. Maybe Bojo will bounce back from the wilderness run for party leader for the millionth time , or exPM Theresa May or how about Liz Truss the sexiest PM we have had ever, lol. Or more logically and better yet David Cameron will take over. This move is one of desperation by Sunak, he realized ( or more correctly his advisors told him) Braverman is not listening to him and running her mouth and making his government look fractured and a mess, so he did a cabinet reshuffle, couldn't come up with anyone else but Cameron stuck him in the office. Sunak gave David Cameron his peerage so this will suffice. It is a stop gap measure if you ask me until next year when the general election is held.
My money is on Cameron the next PM, the only man who has some decency and convictions. He was a remainer, but as party leader he carried out his promise to. hold a vote on Brexit, the popular vote ( by a slight margin) was to leave the EU so he resigned. Isn't that a novel character in a politician, don't hang around for the free house and government paycheck, resign if you do not believe in something.
he can;t sit in the House of Commons so I guess there will be no questions for the Foreign secretary in the Commons. Which makes his life easier not having to be grilled by the members of Parliament.

I think Starmer is going to get it, not that Im a fan of his either. They really screwed up when they decided to overturn the election and kick out Boris. Whether you like Boris or not is irrelevant really, WE VOTED FOR HIM and NOBODY should have the power to overturn that vote. At least in the US they vote for the president AND the vice president on the same ticket so the public has the final say. Right now we've got a prime minister that nobody voted for and even lost his own parties leadership election. Everybody knows he's going to loose and loose big timeTheButcher wrote: ↑November 13th, 2023, 1:27 pmNope Sunak is toast then again Sir Keir Starmer is no better, Britain faces a dilemma neither party has a good leader. I guess Cameron would have to resign and force a leadership election if he wants to go for prime minister ???

Some say she said the unspoken part out loud and she is not alone, did you see the counter march on Saturday, there are those who she resonates with. I think she will make a play for the Conservative party leadership.

You might be right there. I see she has hit back at Rishi SunakBritporn_Mike wrote: ↑November 14th, 2023, 7:33 amSome say she said the unspoken part out loud and she is not alone, did you see the counter march on Saturday, there are those who she resonates with. "Suella Braverman has delivered a scathing attack on Rishi Sunak, accusing him of failing to keep his promises over immigration.
In a blistering letter to the prime minister, the former home secretary told him "your plan is not working".

She is strengthening her position with the right wing of the Tories and it seems to be working. She reminds me of Trump in some ways, she is not politically correct and says what she has on her mind. It might not be what people expect from an elected politician but some like it. I personally don't like the woman or her ideas but that has nothing to do with this discussion.

I think this could be the beginning of the end for Rishi Sunak. Everybody knows he's got no chance of winning the next election but to get him out, they would have to have yet another leadership election. The 4th this term ! If they do I would imagine Cameron and maybe even Boris would throw their hat into the ring.TheButcher wrote: ↑November 14th, 2023, 1:21 pm

I hate to say it but I think this is going to be the last conservative government for at least a decade

Whatever they are going to do they need to do it now so whoever takes over has a chance of turning things round before the next election

Drum roll here comes David Cameron...... let's re-introduce him to the public as foreign minister, a name they know, a face that blends in and someone who I actually respect as I said before for having character. No where near as charismatic as BoJo. But can they really bring back that guy for a third time with a straight face, lol. But hey who expected Cameron back as a cabinet member so anything is possible.

There was celebrations and street parties at home when Rishi Sunak became prime minister in England. We were very very proud for him and his family.
