Considering a do-not-resuscitate (DNR) order

#1

Over 75 next year and not in good health with more medical issues than a medical dictionary, the only thing I am thining of is how my nieces and nephews will feel if I go for a DNR. Do you think it is selfish to have a DNR?

You only get one shot at life why end it before you have to. Let nature take it's course. I am for the individual's right to decide of they no longer wish to live with a caveat, if they are facing stage 4 cancer in the late stages or if they are bed ridden with no hope of recovery and in massive pain. But what it someone has a stroke or heart attack and can make it without long lasting side effects?

I have to say I always believed what Dr jack Kevorkian did was a service and he was way a head of his time when it came to self assisted suicide.

If you want a DNR get one. It's your life and your decision. If you don't have a DNR it's someone else's decision. Being selfish isn't even a consideration here. Do what is right for you.

Taking pills to live a normal way of life3 is no reason to think of ending your days, are you in deep pain or hurting even with pills.

It is a personal decision and no one else needs to butt in.
