Elon Musk is a genius so I would not put it past him....
I mean it, Elon Musk is a genus.
He wanted to buy Twitter for around $44 billion then said he wanted out, he got sued to buy it, then he said I'll buy it.
Last week he said he wanted the government to start paying for his Starlink service he has given to Ukraine, something about it had cost $980 Billion so far and might go up to $400 billion next year. Next day for whatever reason he said never mind I'll keep giving it for free.
Plus he tweeted some stuff about his idea of how to bring the Ukraine war to an end, which didn't sit well with the Ukrainians and some supporting them.
But what if deep down he does not want to buy Twitter and get the government to pay for his Starlink service in Ukraine, what better way to kill one or both birds with one stone by getting the government to look into the deal from a national security point of view.
They might say nope we don't think this is good for the country and no deal, and also say hey we need to take some control on who gets Starlink and start paying for it.
This guy is very smart and thinks 10 steps a head of the rest of others. So just throwing this idea out, what do you all think.

and SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter."

Interesting idea. Cant read that article though without being a subscriber
My guess is that he is just an idiot with no political sense at all. Remember he also said that we should give up Taiwan to the Chinese.

Exactly my point, look to be going against the narrative on Ukraine and Taiwan, make people in high places think you might be some what on the wrong side of the popular views, get looked into for potential let's say "Loyalties to the wrong side" so get your bid to buy Twitter stopped...... get what you really want is a way out of buying the thing. Just talking out loud no idea what the man is thinking, just another perspective.

I guess twitter employees would hope he does not complete the sale so they keep their jobs....see where I am going with all these points. Maybe I am just totally wrong.

Elon, uses his comments to bring attention to himself, period
marketing strategy is genius and implemented flawlessly.
who cares if his ideas are real or fake or part of a master plan
he does not need to kill people to be the most popular person in English pop culture
he just has to tweet, something
his stock goes up almost every time he tweets something deemed controversial.
he has to tweet / comment to keep people's attention
he can not take his clothes off to get attention like women!
