Here's an incomplete list of shit affected so far...
This doesn't just affect escorts, it impacts the entire adult industry

I know its a long read but quite interesting. FOSTA impacts webmasters. For instance if your site, blog or tube allows for comments, contribution, chat or social features/interaction you will be held liable for what your visitors post. Word has it that US hosting providers incl GoDaddy are taking a long hard look at their TOS. This new law has a dramatic impact on all free speech on the web. Amazon is removing or hiding erotic book titles from kindle... wtf does that have to do with sex trafficing? The law is vague and there will be impact on all of us. Using social media to promo will be a bigger challenge. Don't be surprised if there's impact on content production as well. It's wise to keep an ear to the ground right now and not be oblivious to all the changes happening in the wake of passage of the law.dom_trev wrote: ↑April 14th, 2018, 2:01 pmCan you give me cliff notes how it affects me and others doing affiliate salesHeidiHoe wrote: ↑April 14th, 2018, 1:39 pmHere's an incomplete list of shit affected so far...

Voluntary and trafficed sex workers are pretty much treated the same. Camgirls are sex workers and will feel the impact when they are kicked off platforms such as skype, twitter, etc. Payment options have always been a pain for indie work and will probably worsen. Amazon no longer allows wishlists for sex workers. Time will tell how this will affect camsites. Who knows if they start going after cam studios, time will tell. Like I said, it's time tto keep an ear to the ground.

This is just bull crap, how can they say webcam performers are sex workers, this is one badly thought out piece of legislation.

I heard that MyFreeCams has changed their model TOS and I just logged on at Streamate and they changed their model/studio TOS due to SESTA/FOSTA (not speculating on this, it's spelled out).

Any chance they'll get to their senses and amend this so it's not a big net to charge people not involved in sex trafficking?

Hell probably not! There's probably prosecutors in 48 states getting hardons at the thought of using FOSTA to go after porn production!fantastico wrote: ↑April 20th, 2018, 8:46 amAny chance they'll get to their senses and amend this so it's not a big net to charge people not involved in sex trafficking?
