Is there going to be war in Ukraine and how badly will it affect sales?

I think there will be a war and sales will go down for a short while and come back, unless the war spreads then it's bye bye sales.

It's looking that way, hope war does not break out and cooler heads sit down hash things out.

War is never a good thing so I hope it is not going to happen, there are innocent people in every war that die.

I dont think he was ever going to start a war. He knows the cost to his country would be huge, both in lives lost and the heavy sanctions the rest of the world will put on him

I think his strategy has always been to project himself and his grievances onto the world stage by threatening war. Right now every world leader is falling over themselves to meet with him and discuss his issues. Its like Munich all over again

Ontop of that, he's making a lot of money by hiking up the gas prices which also puts more pressure on Europe. Diesel is at an all time high right now

I think it might backfire on him in the long run though. Europe has realised they need to cut their reliance on Russian gas. They simply cannot allow a belligerent state to control their economy like this.

Here in the UK we are more fortunate. Since we left Europe we've been buying a lot of our gas from the USA but the rest of Europe is still largely dependant on Russian supplies and with the nord stream 2 pipeline coming online, its only going to get worse

Lets see what he does next but my guess is he wont dare invade

I agree and funny part is he has been saying that all along and no one believes him, every one and their great uncle is calling him and running to see him, to convince him not to attack and he keeps saying he has no intention to attack. He has come out said what he wants but people keep telling him not to attack, this is not about attacking Ukraine why don’t leaders realize it.

I have to agree

Admitedly Im only seeing it through the western media but if we had stood up to Putin in 2014 when he invaded Crimea, we wouldn't be in this mess now. Appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggresive

No politician involved in this crisis seems to think beyond today. The reality on the ground is the 2 breakaway republics have now pretty much aligned themselves with Russia. Russia has sent peace keepers, aka troops, call it what you like.

If you keep adding sanctions what is stopping Russia moving in taking over the whole of Ukraine. With Germany putting Nordstream 2 on hold I really think war is going to happen. Now that was as dumb a move as the Germans could have taken. First of all Germany is moving towards clean energy, they have a gas shortage, they need that 2nd pipeline to satisfy their gas needs, they cut their nose to spite their face.

Gas shortages are going to hurt everyone in Europe and prices will sky rocket. Guess who sells gas, you are just making Russia more money. They should have kept the threat of cancelling Nordstream 2 not actually done it. Russia is cozying up to China who will buy all the gas Russia can supply. Ever hear of the saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend, all this is doing is pushing Russia and China closer in every way.

What needs to happen is everyone stop talking big and threatening, sit down make a deal. The situation has already gotten out of hand don't make it worse. There is no military solution especially when the west said months ago they would not put boots on the ground in Ukraine. The 2 independent republics are now gone, save the rest of Ukraine as one country, because pissing off Russia with Nordstream2 being cancelled and adding sanctions is only going to get the hawks over there to say it is obvious we out gun Ukraine, they have already tried to cause us financial harm let's go take it all.

My thoughts on this.
